Coincide exists because we don’t want a dating app to share someone’s exact path home. Every system we ship is checked against that question first.
Privacy Promise v1: No exact GPS, no street coordinates in chat, no contact-data sales to advertisers. Ever.
No live GPS dot — ever.
You pick the lines and stations; no background pings, no permission request. The map inside Coincide is a stylized commute graph, not your location.
Coordinates stay out of chat.
DMs are scanned for lat/long, addresses and reverse-searchable street names before they send. Block and report are one tap away from any message.
Verification gates visibility.
Profiles with the verified badge are photo-verified; the most visible slots in the deck require it. New accounts get a quieter throttle until they verify.
Match-gated messaging.
Chat only opens after both sides have liked each other. There is no “request access” flow to break through the wall.
Stalking-pattern detection.
We watch for repeated-route probing, multi-day overlaps, and lookup patterns designed to find a specific user, and we lock that account while we look.

Real moderators review every report inside 24 hours. Hard cases escalate to local law enforcement with the evidence we can lawfully share.
